...they haven't read it yet.
The unions wanted 12% over 3 years and we got them down to 6%...so the spin is the city won???
They could have wanted 20% for all that it matters. There's a recession going on, People's net worth has taken a dive, fees have been increased, the city's $350 million in the hole...but they got a great deal. A great deal might have been...the city's behind the 8 ball so we have to cut 10 % of the positions...never mind all the other BS.Job security should have been enough for going on strike during a recession, let alone getting a 6% raise....And for interfering with people trying to
take their own trash to the dump...no injunction???...and bylaw officers ripping through garbage to fine taxpayers.....and the City got a good deal?? Who was watching out for taxpayers' interests?
"The mayor made several other missteps over the course of the walkout. Despite multiple examples of pickets blocking residents' access to temporary dump sites, and even keeping welfare offices from opening, city officials opted not to file court injunctions. Only two successful injunctions were announced over the entire course of the strike. If this lenient policy was meant to curry union favour, it failed."
"It's getting harder and harder to warmists to get away with their blanket statements that a "scientific consensus" on global warming exists. Now, an organization that bills itself as "the world's largest scientific society" is facing a grassroots rebellion form its scientist members"
In a Democracy ...Is Toronto Council holding a secret in camera meeting tomorrow to discuss taxpayers' business about the strike?
Crime beat.........this wasn't supposed to happen after the legit gun clubs were shut down.Apparently the criminal element don't pay attention to
political posturing and buck passing
Kelly McParland: The union won, hands down
Miller gave away the candy store......Sue-Ann Levy
Who was negotiating for the taxpayers?
