Since the mid 1990's the Security agencies and military were underfunded by billions. Did the Senator get his Party to fix the shortfalls during that period? Apparently he expects the Conservative government to fix in 2 years what the Liberals didn't do for 13 years. There was lots of smoke and mirrors...how many RCMP , CSIS and CBSA officers were added with that $9.5 billion...10? 100? 2000? or zero. The military were underfunded by $20 billion. Yes security is supposed to be the #1 priority of a Government but by underfunding them over the years , his Liberal Party apparently didn't take it seriously. As for not having the money to fund them properly, the Liberals did have access to the GST funds and they did have money for the Sponsorships .
