"As a graduate from the top quantitative analysis political science programs in the country (The Ohio State University), one of the things drilled into us in our political science statistics classes and polling and data research seminars was that sometimes the slightest word change in a survey can make all the difference in the world. My fellow students and I also learned that you have to look closely at what exactly is being asked to understand what is being said, rather than trying to read into the actual question the question set-up (an important rule discussed below). Finally, the most important lesson that was impressed upon us was that it is far too easy to stretch the survey's findings well beyond what the data actually says, so caution is key"..............

Gary Bauer- re: Six Day War via email

From: Gary Bauer

June 5, 1967

Forty years ago today, the beleaguered nation of Israel, facing Arab Muslim armies massing on three borders and promises from its enemies to wipe it off the map, fought back. Israel sent virtually its entire air force of 200 planes in a stealth attack against the Egyptian air force. It worked – 75% of the Egyptian planes were destroyed. In the “Six Day” war that followed, Israel, with three million people, defeated an Arab Muslim alliance of 100 million. As a result of that conflict, Israel occupied Gaza, Judea, Samaria and the Golan Heights.

In the 40 years since, Israel has been told by the United Nations, the Europeans, a succession of U.S. presidents and the “world community” (whatever that is) that if it would just give up these “occupied” lands, there will be peace in the Middle East. But there was no peace for Israel before the Six Day War and the “occupation.” Even when Israel was only nine miles wide, it was regularly attacked by Arab raiding parties, and its neighbors consistently promised that it would be destroyed. And while Israeli governments over the years have, hoping for peace, withdrawn from places like Gaza and southern Lebanon, the response has always been the same – not peace, but more threats and more war.

Israel does not, unfortunately, hold the key to peace. If it did, peace would already exist, because no one, absolutely no one, in the Middle East wants it more than the Israeli people. But, peace will come not with a smaller Israel or a new Palestinian state. It will come when Islamofascism has been defeated, and when Israel’s enemies concede that it has a right to exist, which, come to think of it, is the only way we will have peace too"

MEMRI- OBL's Bodyguard-

Interviewer: "Do you think there is any coordination between the [Al-Qaeda] organization and Iran?"

Nasser Al-Bahri: "There is coordination on the basis of joint interests."

Interviewer: "In what way?"

Nasser Al-Bahri: "For example, there is a common enemy - the U.S. - and the Iranians, for your information, know that the [American] strike in inevitable. Therefore, they have to take advantage of all those available on the scene, including the Al-Qaeda organization."

Interviewer: "So the way you see it, the Al-Qaeda organization can cooperate with the Iranians against America?"

Nasser Al-Bahri: "It can cooperate with the Iranians but it won't operate under the Iranians. But there is no problem with regard to cooperation."

[...]

"I would like to emphasize here, on Al-Arabiya TV, that I place Sheikh Osama on the same level as my father, and I love him perhaps even more than my father."

[...]

Interviewer: "Where do you think the Al-Qaeda organization is still active?"

Nasser Al-Bahri: "In Afghanistan."

Interviewer: "That's it?"

Nasser Al-Bahri: "I know that it is active in Afghanistan. What goes on elsewhere - in Iraq, Somalia, or North Africa - is that Islamic groups, and especially those mujahideen who bear arms, have embarked on a plan to unite their efforts. You've begun to hear about the 'Al-Qaeda Organization in North Africa.' What's the story of this organization? These are old groups, some of which may be older than Al-Qaeda itself."

[...]

"Sheikh Osama used to say: 'My children, we can't continue to carry our high-profile and costly operations this way, because every time we hit an exposed target, they will close another target. We must deal them blows in order to draw them into the battlefield.' He has succeeded in doing so. Now the bull has begun to scream [for help] in Afghanistan."

Interviewer: "But don't you think many new battlefronts have been opened in the Arab world?"

Nasser Al-Bahri: "That is due to the stupidity of the bull. When the bull stuck its head into Afghanistan..."

Interviewer: "What bull?"

Nasser Al-Bahri: "The American bull, the stupid American cowboy who has begun to kick everywhere. It attacks in Baghdad, it attacks in Somalia, and it will attack everywhere."...............

Walid Phares- Global dimensions- 7 questions about the JFK plot......

"The announcement by U.S. authorities of the arrest of three men and the search for another man, all implicated (allegedly by legal perspective) in a plot to kill thousands of people in and around the JFK International Airport leaves us with at least seven quick lessons.

1) This is an operation (successful or not) that implicated at least three countries in three subcontinents: The United States (North America), Trinidad and Tobago (Caribbean) and Guyana (South America). It means that the terrorists (jihadi ideologically) have staged their activities out of three different countries (including the United States) to launch an attack against America. Hence, the first lesson to draw is that indeed the war with jihadism is a global war on terror, and thus this is an invitation to the U.S. congressional panel and the European Commission, which asked to drop the concept of "global war" with terrorism, to review theirstatement on the matter. For it has been clearly shown, before and after since September 11, that the jihadists, regimes, organizations and individuals are distributed inmultiple countries and are targeting many other countries, hence the global dimension of it. .."............

FTC

"Thomas E. Richardson, the man behind Mid-South Distributors, advertised his greeting card display rack business opportunities in classified ads in local newspapers, claiming that purchasers could earn as much as $65,000 a year. Based in Florence, Alabama, he sold distributorships in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Florida, and Kentucky. Richardson promised potential purchasers that for an investment of $8,500 or more, they would receive everything they needed to start a business: an initial inventory of greeting cards, display racks for the cards, and profitable locations where he would supposedly place the cards and racks for the purchaser.

According to the FTC, consumers never earned anything close to the income levels they were promised. The Commission alleged that in almost every case, consumers made less than $100 per month. The highest earning purchaser only returned $2,006 for the entire year by investing in 20 locations. In addition, Richardson often did not provide his customers with the promised number of locations for their display racks. Typically, the locations he did provide were not in high traffic areas, and resulted in few greeting card sales for the consumers. Also, the FTC accused Richardson of not providing any of the disclosures that are required by the Franchise Rule."

Leaders have failed Palestinians

"Tens of millions of refugees displaced after the Second World War rebuilt their lives in new places. Why not the Palestinians?

It hasn't been a question of what's best for the Palestinians as a community or as individuals, says Cofman Wittes. Instead, the emphasis has been on the most effective political use that could be made of the Palestinians."

Media Research-Most MSM ignored Al Qaeda Torture- but ran more than 6000 stories about Abu Ghraib

"Concerning the top media’s silence on the al-Qaeda torture chamber in Iraq, MRC President Brent Bozell issued the following statement:

“The elite media’s liberal bias is abundantly clear in this case. U.S. soldiers raided several al-Qaeda safe houses in Iraq and discovered stacks of evidence about how al-Qaeda tortures its victims. The tools, the drawings, and the photos are gruesome and clearly show what type of enemy the U.S. is facing.

“Yet most of the liberal media are deliberately silent. This is the same self-righteous liberal media that ran more than 6,000 stories and countless photos of Abu Ghraib and the abuse of prisoners there by several U.S. soldiers. Where are they now? Why will they not show the American people what al-Qaeda is actually doing in Iraq right now? Whose side are they on?

“Al-Qaeda’s crimes are a thousand-fold more brutal than anything done by any derelict U.S. soldier. Yet it’s obvious now that the liberal media want to focus on U.S. misdeeds, and alleged misdeeds, and theoretical misdeeds instead of giving the truth to the American people.”

Immigration-Senate bill to cut aliens by only 25% (they couldn't even stop a guy on the list with TB)

"The Senate's immigration bill will cut annual illegal immigration by just 25 percent, and the bill's new guest-worker program could lead to at least 500,000 more illegal aliens within a decade, Congress' accounting arm said yesterday.
The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) said in its official cost estimate that many guest workers will overstay their time in the plan, with the number totaling a half-million in 2017 and reaching 1 million a decade later."
