Breaching America- series at San Antonio Express

"U.S.-bound illicit travel from Islamic countries, which started long before 9-11 and includes some reputed terrorists, has gained momentum and worried counterterrorism officials as smugglers exploit 2 million Iraq war refugees. The irony is that the war America started to make itself safer has forced more people regarded as security threats toward its borders. "

Rush Limbaugh-Left ignores torture by terrorists

"The left in this country, the Democrat Party, the Drive-By Media are all joined at the hip in trying to convince as many people of this country that we suck. This is the worst example of humanity and civilization on the planet today. When real examples of depravity and torture occur as committed by our enemy, we don't hear a word about it. We don't hear one condemnation. We don't hear Senator Kennedy getting on the phone, getting on the Senate floor, or Durbin, speaking to they don't ever, bin Laden or Mookie al-Sadr and demanding that this stuff cease. No, they blame Bush for it. They blame Bush for going in there in the first place. They even go so far as to say, "Well, we understand these people's behavior, we invaded their country, we had no reason, it has nothing to do with 9/11. Of course they're acting this way. We must learn who these people are so we don't offend them any further." It makes me want to throw up. All because I happened to see this story about a kid tortured with electrodes attached to the tongue, and I know damn well I'm not going to hear about it anywhere else. Even if I do, I won't hear any outrage expressed over it. In the meantime, a slug and dishonest movie maker is over getting more accolades for an attack on his own country by a bunch of people who wouldn't know what this country is really all about. In fact, most of the people over there wouldn't be who they are if it weren't for this country. They wouldn't have the prosperity and the wealth they have if it weren't for this country. "

"Senate Sellout

05-20-07 Certain members of the United States Senate have embarked on an ill-informed path that will give amnesty to illegal aliens. They are attempting, once again, to sell the American people a bill of goods that rewards millions of illegal alien lawbreakers and throws the rule of law out the window. Both senators from Arizona, McCain and Kyl, have come out in support of this disastrous legislation. We are especially disappointed that Senator Kyl has helped sponsor this foolishness. We endorsed Senator Kyl last year, in a very close race, with the clear understanding that he would remain opposed to any form of amnesty that rewards illegal aliens. We are dumbfounded. We are currently working on a letter to Senator Kyl so that he clearly understands our profound disappointment in his actions. The letter will be posted here tomorrow. We expected this type of sell-out from Senator McCain, and even from Border Patrol Chief David Aguilar, but we didn't expect it from Senator Kyl. We believed him to be a man of his word, in a political atmosphere where ones word doesn't mean much anymore.

Is it any wonder that morale in the BP continuously erodes to levels never thought possible? Can you imagine telling Highway Patrolmen that drag racers and drunk drivers should be released without penalty and rewarded with continued driving privileges for breaking the law? Can you imagine telling DEA agents that cocaine, methamphetamine, and marijuana are good for people and that they need to back off their enforcement efforts? Can you imagine telling game wardens that poachers are just "innocent victims" who should be given the fruits of their illegal behavior without penalty? Can you imagine telling our military personnel overseas that they're really not fighting for anything important and that radical Islamists are just misunderstood folks who need a hug? If you can't imagine any of this, then why should anyone imagine telling Border Patrol agents that massive illegal immigration is something to be honored with yet another amnesty program designed to reward the same people we risk our lives to arrest? This is disgraceful America.

Please click here to let your senators know how you feel about this piece of legislation. "

"Dozens of people are thought to have been killed in the Nahr al-Bared Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon – at least seventy in two days — as the Lebanese army goes all out to destroy the al Qaeda affiliate Fatah al Islam which is apparently embedded in the camp.

A refugee camp under heavy bombardment; civilians being killed along with the terrorists who are hunkered down among them; military authorities talking of having terrorists ‘hermetically sealed’ and that they will be removed one way or another because they pose a threat to the country which simply cannot be tolerated; ambulances prevented from reaching the injured and even being fired upon. Can you imagine the reaction if Israel were to be doing this?

But just look at the British media. Where are the virulent denunciations of the Lebanese government? Where are the editorials condemning it for dangerous over-reaction? Where are the columnists screaming war crimes? Where are the politicians and the bishops condemning the Lebanese for a disproportionate response and demanding a cease-fire now? Funny, that — I seem to have missed them."

FTC Obtains Judgment of More Than $17 Million for Consumers

"John Stefanchik and his company, the Beringer corporation, have been ordered to pay over $17 million to consumers for falsely representing that the consumers would make easy money using the “Stefanchik Program” to buy and sell privately held promissory notes and mortgages. United States District Court Judge Ricardo S. Martinez granted the Federal Trade Commission’s motion for summary judgment and ruled that the defendants’ false claims violated federal law. The judge ordered a permanent halt to the false claims and ordered John Stefanchik and Beringer to pay restitution to consumers. "

"Revenue tools" in Toronto- watching your wallet

"North York resident Michael Gazer would almost welcome this debt-ridden city going bankrupt.

At least then, says the management consultant, city officials would be forced to restructure, clean out the deadwood and come back stronger.

"They'd shed the fat and legacy costs and run it (the city) properly," Gazer told a packed house at the city's North York tax consultation session last Thursday night.

Management consultant Ron Morgenthal said he finds "blatant mismanagement" by a council that doesn't "give a damn."

He pointed out finance officials' claims that they've saved $90-million this year on a $7.8-billion budget amounts to about 1.1% -- which is merely an "accounting error."
