The gun control advocates are naive. The crooks will always be able to get their hands on weapons.They refuse to acknowledge that there are some bad people out there that don't care about laws or worry about registering weapons.If you want to know what type of bad people are out there, pull the police off the streets for 2 days and see what comes out of the woodwork.The do gooders live in a Fantasyland and believe restricting honest citizens will prevent crime.The criminals don't bother following rules and regulations, that's why they are called criminals.

As for the excuse that the police will know if there are weapons on a premises,there may be one weapon registered but there can also be others there that aren't registered. Any officer who doesn't assume that there is a weapon on the premises, with or without a computer check, should probably find another line of work since he is endangering his life and his partner's life.
