Peacekeeping force won't disarm Hizbollah.......via eyeontheun.org

"Despite a two-year-old UN Security Council resolution demanding that all Lebanese militias give up their arms, no one expects government troops to enforce it. A UN official said: "A lot depends on the Lebanese army and their relationship with Hizbollah; on whether there is mutual tolerance and the Lebanese army is capable of pacifying Hizbollah by persuasion."

Attempted bribery of Federal officials

"In the bribery sting operation, law enforcement officers posing as corrupt State Department officials met with several liaisons to the Tamil Tigers at a Staten Island residence belonging to a police informant, according to a criminal complaint. During the meetings, which began in September 2004 and took place as recently as February of this year, the representatives of the Tamil Tigers sought to learn how much it would cost to bribe officials to remove the organization from the State Department's list of terror organizations, according to the complaint. One defendant, Nachimuthu Socrates, 54, cut a $500 check and provided $5,000 in cash to the undercover agents as a down payment, the complaint alleges.

It is a crime for American citizens to make contributions, or in any way assist, an organization that the government has named a terrorist group. The State Department placed the Tamil Tigers on the list in 1997."

Jason Kenney jumps on Liberals for MidEast comments

"Their idea of a balanced approach is one where Israel is always wrong," Kenney told a news conference on Tuesday.

"This represents a totally irresponsible approach to foreign security policy."

"The Liberal Party of Canada cannot claim to be prepared to be ready to govern Canada if they can't establish a coherent position on such a clear cut issue as the terrorist nature of Hezbollah."

Observation- the wall to wall 24/7 coverage of the JonBenet case shows that most of the media have divorced themselves from the real world.Meanwhile..

They attempt to do news programming on the cheap, get a couple of talking head lawyers to insert their opinions every which way. When the dust settles this won't be their finest moment in news history.Yet they have stringers overseas presenting images which are staged or doctored. No wonder they lose audiences in the 500 Channel universe.
