"Police officers dodged bullets early Wednesday morning on a North York highway after a suspect opened fire............

Police closed the westbound collector lanes of Hwy. 401 from Allen Road to Keele Street. Officers could be seen combing the sides of the highway Wednesday morning, looking for shell casings.

Traffic snarled for several kilometres east to the Yonge Street exit due to the closed highway lanes. The Dufferin Street ramps were also closed for the investigation".
