After all it's only taxpayer's money and there's plenty more where that came from -right??

"Well, well, well. With a municipal election little more than six weeks away, here it is time once again to bury yet another pie-in-the-sky report on the fate of the Gardiner Expressway.

In the latest dumb idea, something called the Toronto Waterfront Revitalization Corp. recommends spending $758 million to tear down the Gardiner east of Spadina and replace it with a 10-lane road to Jarvis, finishing off with an eight-lane road to the Don Valley Parkway.

The estimated $758-million cost is already a couple of years out of date, since Mayor David Miller and Co. have kept this latest $1-million study under wraps since 2004."
