A lot of the media pundits get their marching orders from the Liberal machine and probably thought it was OK for politicos to hurl insults at the U.S

and they wouldn't notice.

There are a lot of jobs on the line and since the media elite's ox isn't being gored why should they worry if people in the lumber industry are out of work because of the past insults? Now if some of the media did some downsizing then maybe they wouldn't be so callous when they spin their anti Americanism.Do the media elite think we'd be much better off having China or Russia or Iran as our neighbours??

Their anti American( translation -anti Bush, anti Republican or pro Democrat ) partisanship sticks out a mile.There are always issues that need to be addressed , even in newsrooms. Harper is trying to iron out the issues to protect Canadian jobs . The media's Liberal pals didn't get it done for years but they didn't seem to criticize them too much especially when they insulted the U.S. Administration. Imagine doing 85% of your business with one customer and you insult them and then naively expect to get more business.Canadians need jobs,not partisan media BS.
