"A Strategic Counsel poll for the Globe and Mail newspaper on Wednesday showed the Conservatives had 31 percent support, compared with 27 percent for the Liberals.
"Canadians are being advised, however, by interested and disinterested parties, to wait until the full details of the Gomery commission are available before passing judgment on a minority Liberal government they elected a year ago.
Nothing could be further from the truth. The end, when it comes, will do so because the Liberals had grown so comfortable in office that they felt they could do exactly as they pleased. If that involved channelling millions of dollars to their friends, then so be it.
