So the question arises- why would the government come up with a half baked scheme that will do nothing to stop criminals ? The track record isn't

impressive.The government downsized the RCMP by over 2000 officers over the past 12 years , yet they are going to hire 100 officers for 10 years or in 10 years they will have hired 1000 officers which will mean they will still have a shortage of 1000 officers after 20 years with increased demands.Nice piece of new math.
