After 12 years , they are going to ban handguns? But do nothing about the revolving door justice system? The track record is there -instead of
handcuffing the criminals, they handcuffed the RCMP by underfunding and staff shortages. So basically they did virtually nothing to protect the public over 12 years, but a month before the election they are going to change their spots?? They focused on the majority of honest hard working people through a $1.5 billion gun registry money pit while allowing the minority of criminals to control the streets. The first duty of a government is to protect its citizens not allow criminals to roam the streets virtually unchallenged.
There is a $30 billion illegal drug and money laundering operation going on in Canada which is mainly behind the murders. The government seems to have overlooked that little issue with their brand new "get tough" policy. They got away with doing nothing for 12 years and now they expect the public to believe they have turned over a new leaf?
"At bottom, this is a very typical Liberal campaign promise. Promise anything to get elected. Forget about it when you get a majority government.
Martin's getting tough on crime? The criminals must be quaking in their boots."
