New chair of CBC?

Just two hours after I linked to the CBC Chairperson's vacant position on a federal government web site (the Canada Gazette), it had been removed. (Luckily, someone had cached it and reposted it on cbcunplugged.com) Could it be that, as Francophone media are reporting, that newbie CBC Board member Guy Fournier is all but in as the new chair? After all, by law if that position is open, it has to be posted in the Gazette. Mr. Fournier certainly has the creds. He has published numourous books, scripted more than 50 documentaries, and served on some government boards dating back to 1969."
